How did it all start?                       
Let’s start by introducing the owners Cary and Jim Johnston. They are a father and son team that have been creating and running several small businesses together as a team since 1981. They have surrounded themselves with dedicated employees that have been with Jim and Cary on average 15 plus years each.

The longest running business they own is Johnston Trading Post which is a food packaging company in Woodland, California. This company is the background of education in warehousing, inventory, cleanliness and customer service that we have applied to our recreational storage company.

Why R.V. and Boat storage?

Home communities were being built with more community restrictions on storage of recreational vehicles in or around the home as well as the home builders were shrinking the size of the lots they were building the new homes on.

Del Webb communities were growing in popularity and owners of these homes were buying R.V.s. Storage lots for these customers consisted of outdoor gravel yards with little to no security.

Small unusable areas of mini storage yards offered outdoor paved parking and at best some covered paved parking. Armed with this information we wanted to start a full service concierge style storage company.
